VDJ Tflexx Is Championing “Afro-cult” As Something Fresh For The Street

Apart from being one of the hardest working Naija Port Harcourt breed Disc Jockey. Tflexx, has been rooting non-stop for youngsters. He has been promoting them through his mixtapes and allowing them jump on his songs to shine their light.

He is a professional DJ and promoter based in Port Harcourt. Started his career since 2010, and has held on to the believe of just creating and putting out good music. He buys the idea of bringing talents together by showcasing them through his mixtapes or having them collaborate with him on songs that often does numbers on all streaming platforms. With an eagle eye that spots and scouts talents to get them on in formation to make beautiful music. VDJ Tflexx has been successfully soundtracking listeners within the Southern region spectacularly with street oriented tracks like “PH Vibes,” “Executioner,” “Pitakwa,” “Kill Us” and more.

For Tflexx, he has considered his own tracks under a sub-genre of Afro music known as Afro-cult. Based on the peculiarity in his songs lyrics and delivery of the artistes. He pointed out the unique element and tagged it a sub-culture just as altè culture expresses freedom for youths. Allowing them explore their creative abilities through lots of mediums like music, fashion and more.

According to him in an interview with Port Harcourt Gist, “Afro-cult is embedded with Port Harcourt slangs. We are only introducing listeners who’ve ultimately soaked themselves Amapiano, Afrobeats, Afro-pop and co. something more conscious and street worthy that they can feed on and enjoy.” He said confidently.

In a chat with Port Harcourt Gist on Facebook. Tflexx also revealed that he was supposed to release a joint project tagged “Afro-cult,” alongside the Port Harcourt street maestro Abobi Eddieroll.
